Objectives of the Course To make sinusoidal steady-state analysis. To give information about the operation of single phase and three phase power systems. To describe single phase and three phase active, reactive and apparent power calculations. To be able to calculate single phase and three phase reactive power compensation. To explain the analysis of systems including single phase and three phase transformers. To describe per unit calculations. To give information about load types and power cables. To explain the voltage dropĀ calculations in single phase and three phase systems and to give information about conductor selection. To give basic information about alternating current and direct current distribution systems and to explain basic calculations.
Course Content Sinusoidal steady-state analysis. Operation of single phase and three phase power systems. Single phase and three phase active, reactive and apparent power calculations. Single phase and three phase reactive power compensation. Analysis of systems including single phase and three phase transformers. Per unit calculations. Load types and power cables. Voltage dropĀ calculations in single-phase and three-phase systems. Conductor selection. Alternating current and direct current distribution systems.
