Objectives of the Course
|
This orientation course introduces the students to the engineering in general and electrical and electronics engineering in particular with a discussion of the past, present and future of major areas. Through this course, students will be able to define and solve complex engineering problems, select and apply appropriate analysis methods.

The objective of this course is to provide reference knowledge that summarizes terms, principles and techniques of electrical and electronics engineering.

Course Methods and Techniques

Having successfully completed this course, the student will be able to:
• Learn the essential information needed to prepare for the field of electrical and electronics engineering • Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering to the analysis and design of electrical and electronic circuits • Identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems in the area of electrical and electronics • Be familiar with important electrical and electronic circuits and components • Use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools required for electrical and electronics engineering • Identify, analyze, and solve narrowly defined electrical and electronics engineering technology problems
