Objectives of the Course
|
To give information about antenna theory and fundamental parameters of antennas, and be capable of designing and synthesis of wire antennas (linear or loop) and antenna arrays (linear, planar or circular).

Course Content
|
Fundamental parameters of antennas; radiation pattern and intensity, directivity and gain, efficiency, bandwidth, polarization, impedance, effective aperture and antenna temperature. Friis transmission and radar range equations. Reciprocity theorem and images. Radiation integrals. Wire and loop antennas. Linear, planar and circular arrays. Linear array synthesis. Self and mutual impedances
