Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to enable the master's candidate to acquire, at an advanced level, the ability to conduct independent scientific research in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, to identify an original problem that contributes novelty to science, to develop a new scientific method, or to apply an existing method to a new area. The course also aims for the student to transform the findings obtained through theoretical and experimental studies into reputable academic publications or patents that contribute to the international literature, and to defend these outcomes before an academic jury.
Course Content The independent and original academic research process conducted under the supervision of a thesis advisor. This includes the critical evaluation of the field literature; the design and implementation of theoretical, computational, and/or experimental systems; the analysis of the obtained data using analytical methods; the preparation of progress reports; the writing of articles and the thesis in accordance with scientific ethics; and the defense of the final work before a jury.
