About Programme
The Department of Political Science and Public Administration provides its students with professional formation in subjects such as political science, management science, public administration, law, urbanization, environmental problems, functions of administration, new management models, housing policies, constitutional principles, bureaucracy and its operation. It tries to increase students' professional competencies with courses from different disciplines. Thus, employment competence is provided in many professions such as experts, inspectors, managers, administrative judges, district governors and many areas in civil society, media and private sector. In addition, our graduates have the opportunity to enter many positions related to their own professions in different fields of the public sector. Ultimately, one of our fundamental aim is to educate qualified students who has is participatory, innovative, visionary, democratic, ethical and open minded and also has primary knowledge and skills that needs of state, society, administration, urbanization, law, politics.

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration also provides education and research services to those who will take administrative positions at various levels of public institutions and organizations or have administrative duties. In this context, it also fulfills its mission to provide postgraduate education, to carry out scientific journal and publication activities, to participate in national and international events and to contribute to the development of social sciences.

The Department is founded in 2013 and start to accept students in 2018-2019 session of education.
Qualification Awarded
The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Bachelor Programme in Political Science and Public Administrations
Admission Requirements
Those who want to enroll in GAUN undergraduate degree programs must get the sufficient score required by GAUN from the exam administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM) and should not have an existing enrollment in another higher education program. The rules and regulations in “Directive On Application and Registration of Foreign Students” are applied to the students from abroad who want to enroll in this program.

The graduates of this program can apply to master programs to enhance their academic skills and career.
Graduation Requirements
To be able to qualify for graduation, students must complete all the courses in the instructional plan, assignments, field work, applied projects, assignments, workshops, seminars, attendance, laboratory work and other related activities with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of the department can find jobs both in private and public sectors. They may apply for posts in the Foreign Ministry, as well as other ministries. As the programme allows students to undertake electives courses from other departments located in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, students have the opportunity to be informed about a variety of sectors within which they would like to work. Thirty percent of our courses are conducted in English enabling our students to develop their language skills and increasing their opportunities to find employment in a variety of different sectors, such as the media, finance firms, multinationals, NGOs, and the like.
Assessment and Grading
In assessing a student’s performance in a course, the grade the student has scored during the semester work over a hundred and the grade the student has scored at the end of the semester over a hundred are taken into consideration.
In measuring success, the weight of the grade during the semester is 40% and the weight of the final exam is 60%.
